George Floyd was murdered a year ago today, and we still have a lot of work to do in order to resolve the systematic racism and police brutality in our country.

But one thing that I've noticed that makes me really hopeful is the changing attitudes of individuals. More people are standing up and calling for change, more people are trying to be anti-racist instead of just being not racist. I personally have noticed a lot more awareness of racism from the people around me - and a willingness to call this out.

We've got a long way to go to justice, but individual realizations are the first step to change, and I think we've had a lot of them in the past year. So thank you to everyone who has been combating racism and fighting to ensure that no more people suffer the same fate of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor.
